The Government Technology Leadership Awards recognize projects making exceptional contributions to mission accomplishment, cost effectiveness and service to the public. Across its 12-year history, the awards program has succeeded in highlighting technology’s growing potential for improving government operations.

Still, we have only begun the journey toward fully realized e-government. More work must be done to meet technology’s promise of giving the public an easier path through government’s confusing layers and bureaucracy, speeding and improving service to citizens and businesses and renewing faith in the public sector. The 13th annual awards program seeks to recognize evolving goals of the e-government movement.
